Week 1.

MODULE 1
An Introduction To Business Process Automation

In this module, we will start with the basics to set you up for success. You will learn what business process automation is and how it works, how cloud-based apps communicate with each other, and how no-code connector tools like Zapier fit into the picture. We will also cover the importance of process improvement in automation and introduce the 4-Step Solvaa Automation Methodology®. Module 1 will be released in week 1 of the course and will include a live Q&A session.

MODULE 2
Identify: Mapping Your Customer Journey

In this module, we will cover the first step of our signature method for creating and implementing a digital automation strategy. You will learn how to kick off your project, understand and document your customer journey, and simplify and improve your processes before you automate. You will also learn what to prioritise to work on first and understand what you should automate. Module 2 will be released in week 1 of the course and will include a live Q&A session.

Now that you have learnt how to get started with your automation journey, it is time to put the theory in to practice. During this week you can participate in two 1-hour live workshops where we will support you in your learning journey. This implementation week will be held in week 2 of the course.

Week 3.

MODULE 3
Plan: Understanding What You Can Automate

 Preparation before you automate will allow you to see the bigger picture, and save you time and money in the long run. In this module, you will learn how to find information about what you can automate with Zapier and how to draft your workflows. We will also introduce you to the built-in Zapier apps available to supercharge your workflows, all without writing a single line of code. Module 3 will be released in week 3 of the course and will include a live Q&A session.

Now that you have learnt all you need to know to get started with business process automation, it is time to put the theory in to practice. In the second implementation week, you will be well on your way to becoming an Automation Superhero. During this week, you can participate in two 1-hour live workshops where we will support you in your learning journey. This implementation week will be held in week 4 of the course.

MODULE 4
Implement: Building Your Zapier Workflows

In this module, we will cover how to set up, customise and navigate in your Zapier account, and how to get started with building your first single and multi-step Zaps. We will also cover tips and tricks for successfully using Zapier to automate your workflows, and you will learn how to create and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your newly improved processes. Module 4 will be released in week 4 of the course and will include a live Q&A session.

In the second-to-last implementation week, you will continue building your workflows, organise your Zapier account and put your Continuous Improvement plan in place. During this week, you can participate in two 1-hour live workshops where we will support you in your learning journey. This implementation week will be held in week 6 of the course.

MODULE 5
Review: Managing your Workflows and Troubleshooting

Organisation and understanding how to rectify problems are key for success as you embark on your journey to automate more and more. In this module, you will learn how to manage your Zaps, folders and connected apps, as well as how to monitor performance and troubleshoot errors with ease. We will also cover how to create and implement a Continuous Improvement plan. Module 5 will be released in week 7 of the course and will include a live Q&A sessions.

In the final implementation week, you will continue building your workflows, organise your Zapier account and put your Continuous Improvement plan in place. Kelly Goss

Kelly founded Solvaa, a no-code digital automation consultancy in 2016, and is the author of Automate It with Zapier. She is a digital process improvement specialist, Zapier Certified Expert, Pipedrive Certified Expert and Xero Certified Advisor. Kelly regularly speaks at conferences and events. As a passionate advocate of digital automation and continuous improvement, she helps businesses streamline and automate their repetitive tasks to achieve their productivity goals and save money. 

Based in London, Kelly is a self-taught artist, a lover of travel and adventure, animals, urban art and street food.

Who is this course for?

This course is for business owners, team members, and business service providers such as virtual assistants, OBMs, bookkeepers, accountants, digital marketers and systems consultants to help you grasp the fundamentals of business process automation and get hands-on experience of implementing it successfully. 

Is there a pre-requisite for this course?

Yes! A curious brain, the zeal to learn and time to set aside to make the most of the support offered over the 8 weeks! Other than that, no prior knowledge or experience is needed with process improvement, strategy, Zapier or other automation tools.

Does the course cover the basics?


Yes, of course! The course starts with the fundamentals and helps you build an understanding of business process automation, and the importance of process improvement before starting on the technical side of understanding and using Zapier. 

How much time do I need to allocate to learning each week?

To make the most of the course and support at hand, we recommend that you allocate a minimum of 3 hours for each module. Most modules contain 1 to 2 hours of content and the homework might take an additional 1 to 3 hours to complete (which can be done in the implementation weeks). Everyone has different processes so this time will vary and is only a guideline. You should also set aside the relevant time for the live Q&As and workshop sessions to get the most out of the support.  

How long do I have access to this course?

You will have access to the course for 12 months. You can renew your access for a small annual fee of £127 or join our exclusive membership. As Zapier changes and releases new features, we will update the course accordingly.

Is this course purely live training?


This course is a perfect blend of self-paced study and live group coaching. Learning the techniques used to create an automation strategy and using a tool like Zapier often requires some level of support. You will also have access to a community platform where you can ask questions and interact with other automation enthusiasts, experts and peers.

Does the course cover the advanced features of Zapier? 

We will cover an introduction to the advanced features of Zapier, however utilising Zapier's advanced features is a whole course on its own. More advanced content is included as part of our exclusive membership. As a Solvaa Automation Academy student, however, you will get access to any new courses and content we release at a discounted rate.

Do you offer 1-on-1 coaching?


We do offer a limited number of one-on-one personal coaching slots with Kelly that are available on a first-come-first-served basis. You will be given details of how you can get access to coaching as the course progresses.

Is there a graded certification with this course?

You will receive a certificate of completion once you have watched all the lessons, attempted the quizzes and have given feedback. We are in the process of working on a certification programme with examinations and challenges specifically aimed at those that want to use our 4-Step Solvaa Automation Methodology® with their clients. This certification programme will be available in the near future.

What time zones do you support for the live events?

The weekly Q&As and live workshops/ group coaching sessions will held during morning and afternoon UK time slots allowing participants in most time zones to attend at a sociable hour. All live events will, however, be recorded and uploaded as lessons within 48 hours.

Can you create my automation strategy and build my workflows for me?

Yes, but that defeats the purpose of you learning to do it yourself. We do, however, offer consulting services which you can enquire about here. 

Do you offer a payment plan?


Yes, for a limited time before the course starts we offer payment plans. These will be listed on this page when they are available.

Can I use the 4-Step Solvaa Automation Methodology® with my clients? 

Each participant has one licence to use our methodology for internal company use only. The 4-Step Solvaa Automation Methodology® may not be used commercially without our express permission. We will be offering a certification programme in the near future allowing you to officially use our methodology commercially once you have certified and agreed licence terms and usage with us. 

I can't join this cohort. Can I pay now and join a future cohort?
